As a child I would accompany my Grandfather to the train station to buy grapes. I would watch as he walked along selectively pulling a grape from a box, taste it then tap on the box if he wanted those grapes. Then we would return to his garage and the uncles joined in, then the process began. At my young age I could only watch in fascination as the crushing, pressing and bottling took place. Today I no longer just watch, however I still posses that same child like fascination for wine, only now, with over twenty-five years of winemaking experience, I am here to share it with you. I started my professional career in 1985 when I went to work for Connecticuts oldest vineyard and winery. Soon became the general manager and winemaker after an apprenticeship with a Geisnheim grad consultant. The winery production at its' peek was 10,000 gallons in location one and 3,000 gallons in location two. I continued to run the day to day operation until my resignation in 1999. After taking time to research and organize I started the consulting business in 2000. Now I work with retainer clients in many states around the USA. I am also available to do day jobs and remote consulting via email or phone. An active client list will be sent on request, email or phone with name, business interest and contact information.
